Cruelty Free & Vegan - A Blurred Line

It is often difficult for many of us to distinguish the individual meanings of these two terms, as both cruelty-free and vegan have not yet been regulated by the industry.

Intuitively we can, however, identify or define cruelty-free products as made by not physically harming animals during the process of product development. Here is where most of us get confused because we see cruelty free we automatically think a product is also vegan. This is not always true.

Cruelty-free products may often contain animal by-product. In other words, even though a moisturizing lip balm or cream is labeled cruelty-free it may still contain beeswax, therefore it is not a vegan product.

Rest assured that all of our products are cruelty-free and most are vegan! All the Vegan products are listed in the vegan section of our website.
