Handmade natural soap or commercial soap?

Typical store-bought or “commercial” soaps that may be labeled as “natural” are actually detergents that include chemical hardeners, foaming agents and artificial fragrances.

The laws regulating “natural” products are not as strict as those regulating “organic” products. As consumers, it is our responsibility to understand what we put in and on our bodies and the best way to do this is by reading labels.

With everything that our skin goes through on a daily basis, shouldn’t we use a handmade natural and organic soap that will condition and moisturize our skin instead of drying it out?

At Moon Kissed Skin Care we certainly think so…

Here some common ingredients found in commercial soaps

  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Petrochemicals
  • Artificial Coloring
  • Fragrance (synthetic scent, potential allergen, common skin irritant)
  • Sodium lauroyl isethionate (synthetic detergent)
  • Sodium stearate (emulsifier, also used as a cheap stabilizer in plastics)

Commercial soaps are mass produced

Which one will get you more cleaned?

They both will

Which one will dry your skin while it cleanses you, forcing you to apply a moisturizer?

Commercial soaps will

Which one will clean you and leave nourished, smooth, and moisturized skin without the need of a moisturizing cream?

Handmade soap will

At this point, I think we all agree that if you want to take care of and nourish your body naturally, handmade soap is the only right choice.
